Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday (April 2) inaugurated Tedhipulia flyover in Lucknow. He said that the construction work of the project was completed in record time. The budget for the construction of the flyover is Rs 88 crore. The flyover is built on a single pillar using modern technology.

“The nod to the project was given in 2017 from Nitin Gadkari’s office. The construction work of the flyover was started in 2019. Despite the pandemic lockdown, the construction has been completed in record time,” said Rajnath Singh.

The Defence Minister lauded Nitin Gadkari and Yogi Adityanath for their role in the 2.2 km-long flyover project.

Nitin Gadkari said that by 2022, the distance between Lucknow and Kanpur would be covered within half an hour with a new highway.
