Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh was on Monday summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the alleged corruption charges levelled by the former city police chief Param Bir Singh.
Deshmukh has been asked to present himself in the probe agency’s office on Wednesday.
It may be recalled that CBI is conducting a preliminary probe against Deshmukh on the direction of the Bombay High Court. The Court has directed CBI to conduct probe against the former minister on a petition filed by Param Bir Singh alleging corrupt practices.
