Kochi: Swapna Suresh, accused in Kerala gold smuggling case, has made startling revelations on gold smuggling case here in Kochi today. She told she has revealed about the case and the people involved.
She was speaking to media after giving statements to court for economic offences. The Chief Minister and his family has connections in gold smuggling case. Everything, including everyone related to the case has been informed to the court, said Swapna.
“Sivasankar had contacted me in 2016, at the time of CM’s visit to Dubai. Sivasankar asked me to send the bag to Dubai urgently. I was informed that CM had left the bag accidently. That bag was handed over to a diplomat at the consulate. But when checked in baggage scanning systems, currency was found and that triggered all issues”, Swapna added.
Biriyani vessels containing heavy metals inside, were sent from the Consulate General’s house to Cliff House as directed by Sivasankar. Swapna added that she had seen vessels being sent in Consulate’s vehicle . Swapna told she cannot disclose more now, has revealed everything before court and will tell to media in detail later.
