Mumbai: Saad Ansari, a 19 year old boy from Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, was arrested for his FB post, in which he praised Nupur Sharma and criticised Prophet Mohammad.
He shared his post by praising the former spokesperson of BJP, Nupur Sharma as “Brave Lady” and also criticised prophet Mohammad. His post has provoked the fundamentalists and they started protests in front of his house, demanding his apology. Ansari later apologized but police said he was beaten and kicked by the protesters. A case has been registered against the teenager as the locals filed a complaint. The case alleges that the boy carried out activities to spread communalism.
The issue has taken place amid ongoing protests against Nupur Sharma’s remarks on prophet Mohammad.
