New Delhi: The Indian Railway has introduced Budget- Friendly Namah Sleeping Pods at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai. The new system has been introduced with all advanced accommodation facilities.
The Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnav had shared the pictures on twitter.
“The new system has been introduced to provide modern facilities to the people” he wrote on twitter.
The chief public relations officer, Shivaji M Suthar has said that 40 pods have started service including 30 single pods, 6 double pods and 4 family pods.
The Pod Hotel has several facilities like mobile charging, local room, deluxe toilet and bathroom. The pod is in the size of 6-8 ft and can be placed over the other pods. It has also included the intercom and alarm facilities.
The pod hotel is situated near the CSMT waiting room. And the rooms can be booked directly or via the online application, Suthar added.
