Thiruvananthapuram: University Grants Commission has given instruction to higher educational institutions to postpone the Degree admission procedures in the background of the delay in CBSE 12th results that is yet to be published. The UGC has sent letters to the vice chancellors of different universities and to the college principals pointing the same.

The letter advised that the closing of the degree admissions should be on a date that comes after the official announcement of the CBSE results.

CBSE already sent letters to UGC in which they demanded the same.

Meanwhile, the letter says that the results will be lag for some more days. The evaluation of the second term exams is in progress and need one more month to calculate the aggregates of both 1st and 2nd terms, added in the letter.

The results will probably be out by the end of this month or in the beginning of August.

Last year, the CBSE 12th results were out on July 30th and 10th results were on August 3rd.

Kerala and some other states have published the 12th results. Several states and autonomous universities have already begun the admission procedures too.
