The country reports 20,139 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. The death of 38 people raises the total number of deaths to 5,25,557. The total number of people who are affected by the pandemic is 4,36,89,989.
At the same time, 16,482 people had recovered from the disease last day. As per the records of the Central Ministry of Health, the number of active cases rises to 1,36,076. Out of this, 0.30 percent of cases are active.
3,94,774 tests were conducted and an increase of 3,619 cases was recorded in the last 24 hours.
So far, 4,30,28,356 people have been recovered from the disease. The daily and weekly positivity rates are 5.10 and 4.37 respectively
Meanwhile, Delhi reported 490 Covid cases and 3 deaths in the last 24 hours. The current death rate is 1.35 percent.
As per the ministry’s record, 199.27 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been distributed across the country till date.
