Thrissur: The High Court has granted bail for actor Sreejith Ravi. The court considered the argument that Sreejith Ravi had been under treatment for behavioral disorder .
Sreejith Ravi’s advocate informed the court that Sreejith has been under treatment since 2016. The lawyer also told that if the accused spends more days in jail, that would affect his mental health. The single bench of High Court granted bail as the accused convinced his readiness to cooperate with the police.
The court granted bail with certain conditions. Sreejith’s wife and father should file an affidavit before the Magistrate court. If the accused commit such offence again, bail will be cancelled.
The incident took place on 7 July. Sreejith Ravi allegedly exposed before two girls of 9 and 14 years of age. The actor was arrested in connection with the complaint filed by the parents of girls. Though Sreejith had tried to secure bail, it was rejected by Thrissur Additional Sessions Court and hence, the accused approached High Court.
