Kozhikode: The police have registered a sexual assault case against the writer Civic Chandran. The case has been registered by the koyilandy police on a complaint filed by a young woman writer.
On the basis of the complaint, SC/ST atrocities act and violence against women have been charged against him.
The incident took place in April last year. The woman said that the writer sexually assaulted her and also harassed her over the phone.
The woman revealed this on a WhatsApp group in which Civic Chandran was the admin. V T Jayadevan was also included in the allegations. The young woman said that these people have made her to face severe trauma and such bad experiences from people she trusted so much had left her in a shock.
Police informed that they will take appropriate actions in the coming days, after completing a detailed investigation on the case.
