Thiruvananthapuram: Congress has come out with mass protest on the arrest of former MLA and Youth Congress vice president K S Sabarinathan for moving against Chief Minister. Youth Congress workers dashed into Valiyathura police station and the situation is getting worse in the region. Youth Congress alleges conspiracy in the arrest. Leaders including V S Sivakumar, Palode Ravi and M Vincent reached the police station.

Youth Congress workers climbed over police vehicle and staged protest. Though police tried to close the gate, workers rammed into the station.
Youth Congress president Shafi Parambil alleged that the arrest is unjustifiable.” CM is a cowardly dictator. Police in the state is behaving just like slaves. Case against Sabarinathan is a fabricated one. Police called Sabarinathan as a witness and then arrested him. Arrest is recorded on the basis of fake documents and it’s a political conspiracy.” said Shafi Parambil.

YC leaders told that Sabarinathanan reached the police station after submitting anticipatory bail plea. The court had suggested not to arrest him till the bail plea is considered. The plea was about to be considered at 11am. But Sabarinathan was arrested at 10.50am.

YC leaders alleged that state government and police are trying to mislead the court and the time mentioned by the police in the court is fake.
