Guwahati: Indian Air Force intensified the search for laborers in Arunachal – China border. So far, 7 out of 19 were found and the search for the other 12 people still continues.

The flood happened in the Farook River and collapsed an area where 30 people were employed.

The rescued people are admitted in various hospitals and are now undergoing treatment. All of them were contract construction employees in the Border Road Organization.

Damin area in the border district of Kurung Kumey is 130 km from Koloriang town. It is 15 km away from Mekha Dam where construction is taking place. The border with China is about 80 km away.

The border was attacked with flood on 13 July and the construction laborers were then working in Kurung Kumey district, the border village in Arunachal Pradesh.

The accident victims were people who had come to Arunachal Pradesh from Assam for work. Since it is in the Damin area of the border, the notification has also been issued in the border area of China.
