Lucknow: 8 people were killed in a collision between two double decker buses. It is reported that around 30 people were injured. The accident occurred at Purvanchal expressway in Uttar Pradesh this morning.
The expressway is passing through Narayanpur village near the boundary of Loni Kotra police station. Both the buses were going on the same route from Bihar to Delhi. The accident occurred when the bus going ahead was suddenly stopped and the bus moving just behind, hit the one in the front.
The injured were admitted to the nearby Lucknow Trauma Centre. The Berabanki Police team reached the place in no time and coordinated immediate rescue operations.
The UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his grief over the incident and consoled members of the bereaved families.
