Bhopal: Police filed a case against Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury over his comment on president as “Rashtrapatni”. The case has taken in Madhya Pradesh in the background of a complaint filed by the BJP leaders.
The BJP leaders have approached the police with a complaint that the Congress leader has insulted the Indian President Draupadi Murmu. They also demanded that strong actions should be taken against Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. The case was taken after this by charging IPC sections 153 B and 505 (2).
The women’s commission has also taken a case against Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary in this reference. The women’s commission had observed that his statement was gender biased and defamatory.
Chowdhury has been directed to appear before the commission on 3 August.
