Birmingham: India enters final in commonwealth Games women’s cricket. India won 4 runs in semi-final which was held at Edgbaston.
India scored 164 runs in 20 overs on the loss of 5 wickets. Opener Smriti Manthana powered the Indian innings with 61 off 32 balls, Jamima Rodrigues with 44 runs, Deepti Sharma with 22 and captain Harmanpreet Kaur with 20 made crucial contributions on the scoreboard.
England fought back strongly but they lost for 160 in 6 wickets. India took meticulous win eventhough, Captain Nathalie scored 41 runs, opener Danielle Wyatt scored 35 runs and Amy Jones scored 31 runs for England.
Australia and New Zealand will face each other in the second semi-final. The winners of this match will be India’s opponents in the final.
