New Delhi: Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla appreciated the winners in Commonwealth games. He was congratulating the winners of the commonwealth games. He said that India’s performance is marvellous in the Commonwealth Games 2022. He also extended greetings to all athletes on behalf of Parliament including the contestants who are about to compete in the coming hours.
The assembly proceedings began after observing one minute of silence in the name of all who sacrificed their life for the nation. He said, in this occasion of the country being celebrating the 75th year of freedom is the most appropriate time to remember them.
In the triple jump, Malayalee athletes Eldos Paul and Abdullah Abu Bakar won medals for the country in the Commonwealth Games with excellent performance.
