The High Court will consider the petition filed seeking cancellation of Dileep’s bail in the actress attack case today. The petition was filed by the Crime Branch. The prosecution approached the High Court stating that Dileep had violated the bail conditions.
Earlier, the trial court had rejected Dileep’s bail plea. The prosecution’s argument is that the trial court did not seriously considered the matters such as Dileep influenced the witnesses and destroyed the evidences in the case. Justice Kausar Edapagath is hearing the petition.
Meanwhile, the court will also consider the petition pointing out that the Ernakulam District Principal Sessions Court does not have authority to consider the case. Prosecution and the survivor filed a complaint before Judge Honey M Varghese against the change of court. The prosecution also pointed out that the High Court had given permission to the CBI court to conduct the trial. The crime branch will also hand over the copy of the additional charge sheet to the defense today.
