Palakkad: Police collected evidence with the culprit on the murder of DYFI leader Soorya Priya’s case.
Last day itself, the police arrested Sujeesh, a Cheekode native over the murder charges. The deceased person was a native of Konnaalloor region.
The Police took Sujeesh to the house where the murder occurred. The murder took place at Soorya Priya’s home.
The incident took place last day.
Both of them were in close connection for the last six years. Sujeesh murdered Soorya out of suspicions that the latter has a relationship with someone else.
They quarrelled with each other several times while discussing this matter. She tried convincing him but he was not willing to believe.
Last day, Sujeesh reached her home when there was no one else. After being mentally harassed, she tried to commit suicide. Immediately Sujeesh tied a towel on her neck and squeezed her to death.
After the murder, the culprit had surrendered himself in the Aalathur police station.
