Palakkad: K Jayarajan, a CPM party worker, from Anna Nagar in Palakkad, has disobeyed the flag code. He hoisted the Indian flag and tied it below the CPM party’s flag.
The footage was spread across social media and the incident got noticed when the Yuva Morcha had raised a protest over the incident.
Later, the position of the flag was changed as a result of the protests raised from various groups.
The government had already published the flag codes recently and the party disrespected the national flag and disobeyed the rules given in it.
Meanwhile, the party says the incident did not happen intentionally and the flag was tied by the kids.
The party also clarified that Jayarajan is not actually a member but a mere supporter of CPM.
