Feast by President Draupadi Murmu on Independence Day, Prime Minister and other Leaders were present

NewDelhi: President Draupadi Murmu made a feast on the 76th Independence Day. This is the first time after being elected as the President , a feast is being organized for dignitaries at the President’s house.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, Union Ministers Jayshankar, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mansukh Mandavya were present on the occassion. Former opposition Vice President Hamid Ansari, CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yachoori also attended the function.

The menu for the feast varied from traditional Indian dishes to Italian and Turkish dishes. Gujarati food items such as kandvi, hand wo and fafta made with coconut shined in the feast. Palak Patta, Tarbooz Kee Chaat, Kabuli Channa Teeka and Avocado Chutney were also served in front of the guests.

The main attraction of the feast was panna cotta, an Italian dessert. It was prepared in tricolor as part of the Independence Day celebrations. Alu Mutter Samosa, Baklava and Pistachio Fennel Lancha were also on the menu. Moroccan green mint tea, clove coffee and watermelon juice were also prepared for the guests.
