Crash between goods train and passenger train in Maharashtra: More than 50 injured

Mumbai: It has been informed that more than 50 were injured in the accident between a goods train and a passenger train in Maharashtra this morning. According to the primary analysis, the fault in the signal has led to the accident.

The incident took place at Gondia in Maharashtra. 53 were reported to be injured in the accident. Some of them were admitted in the nearby private hospitals and some others were in the Gondia Government Hospital.

The passenger train travelling from Raipur to Nagpur got hit with the goods train. Three bogies were derailed due to the intensity of the crash. Both trains were travelling towards the direction of Nagpur. A detailed investigation over the incident is being progressed.
