NewDelhi: Kerala Governor Arif Muhammed Khan lashed out against Kannur University Vice Chancellor. VC is acting like a party cadre, said the Governor. VC is also trying to please the power centers, he added. He was responding to the media in New Delhi.
The Universities of Kerala have been turned as the centers of political drama, admitting the intimates of politicians to the universities. The act of appointing own people to the exclusion of qualified people is disgraceful. Complaints have already been received in this regard and that relative appointments will be investigated, he added.
The purpose of the University Act Amendment is to appoint relatives. But universities are not for hiring relatives. He also stated that if the resolution is passed in Kerala University, then so be it.
