Kozhikkode: A woman, who was undergoing treatment due to dog bite, died in the hospital today. The deceased is Kutholi Puthiyedath Chandrika. Her relatives informed that she had taken rabies vaccine soon after the dog bite. Chandrika was under treatment at Medical College Hospital, Kozhikkode. She was bitten by a stray dog on 21 July.
After detecting fever and symptoms of rabies ten days before, she went to hospital for treatment. Though the stray dog had bitten four others, no one has symptoms till now.
DMO has informed that the reason of the death will be confirmed only after getting the test results.
