Kochi: The High Court stayed the order granting anticipatory bail to Civic Chandran in sexual assault case. The stay was granted on the order of the Kozhikode Sessions Court which granted anticipatory bail. The High Court has also directed that no arrest should be made till Monday. There is also a stay on the order that the dress is provocative.
The government pointed out some mistakes in the appeal earlier. The court accepted those claims and based on this the bail was stayed. Considering the age of Civic Chandran, it was also suggested not to arrest him until the petition is further considered.
The government approached the court pointing out the criticism and strange observations made by the court against the complainant. The government had pointed out that the Court’s remarks was against women and contrary to the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
