NewDelhi: Disappointment for female students from the Top Court in the issue of hijab. The Supreme Court did not quash the Karnataka High Court’s order. The Supreme Court will consider the petition again on September 5.
The petition filed by the female students against the Karnataka High Court verdict was heard around 10 am today. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Karnataka government on the High Court verdict. The court will pronounce the final verdict on the petition after considering the explanation received from the government. Meanwhile, the lawyer of the students requested the court to consider the petition a little earlier. But the court clarified that this demand cannot be accepted.
A bench of Justices Hemand Gupta and Sudhamshu Dhulia heard the petition.
