Thiruvananthapuram: M B Rajesh will take oath as Minister today. The function will be held at Raj Bhavan at 11 am. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan will administer the oath. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, other ministers and party leaders will attend the ceremony.
M B Rajesh, who was the assembly speaker, was included into the cabinet in the vacancy of the resignation of M V Govindan, who was elected as the state secretary of the CPM. Rajesh will also manage the local and excise department.
Meanwhile, the election for the new speaker will be held on the 12th of this month. It has been decided for a special assembly session for this.
