Indore: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 7 kg gold worth Rs 3.72 crore and three people were arrested.
Intelligence had received secret information that two people were smuggling gold in massive amounts. Following this, two culprits were arrested at the Mumbai-Indore road. The gold was found in a case inside the car that was exclusively made for smuggling.
The culprits confessed the crime and told the police that one of the smugglers is in Mumbai. And later in a detailed investigation, the third one also got arrested.
The DRI has said that the people were arrested under the Customs Act- 1962.
