Woman’s complaint over the attempt of forceful conversion by husband

Ernakulam: A Christian woman from Ernakulam has complained that her husband from other religion tried to convert her to Islam forcefully.

The husband had filed a habeas corpus in the High Court over the disappearance of his wife. On the basis of the complaint, the court had given instructions to the police to take statements from the lady. While interrogating, the lady has given the shocking information to the police.

The lady and the culprit got married last year. After the marriage, he did not allow her to talk with any outsiders. He also threatened her by demanding the same and forcefully tried to convert her religion. She had been locked inside a room, said the woman.

Police started the investigation on the basis of such statements provided by the woman. The court quashed the Habeas corpus on the basis of the report submitted by the police.
