Panaji: A group of congress leaders from Goa may join BJP today. With this the congress will suffer a major setback in Goa. BJP Goa Presiding officer Sadananda Shet Thanawade released the clues related to this.

Congress has a total of only 11 MLAs in Goa. Among them, 8 MLAs will join BJP. As part of this, the information is coming out that the MLAs had a meeting with the assembly speaker. If the Congress MLAs join the BJP, the strength of the BJP will rise again in the assembly.

Digambar Kamath, Michael Lobo, Delia Lobo, Rajesh Faldesai, Kedar Naik, Sawant Amonkar, Alexio Siqueira and Rudolph Fernandes are leaving the party. After the meeting with the speaker they met the chief minister Pramod Sawant.

Earlier in 2019 too, a group of congress MLAs had joined BJP in the same way. If eight more MLAs join the BJP, the Congress will have only three MLAs in the state. BJP currently has 20 MLAs.
