Thiruvananthapuram: DYFI leader got arrested over attempt to rape a woman by encroaching into her house. The Nedumangad police arrested Vishnu (33), the DYFI joint secretary of Nedumangad unit.
The incident took place on the 16th of last month. It is said that the culprit had encroached the woman’s house and attempted to rape her. Later they tried to compromise the case in the party office.
Meanwhile, the Congress has come forward in protest against the incident. After being produced in the Nedumangad court, Vishnu was remanded.
