Kozhikode: Police arrested the Popular Front terrorists who attacked the Sub Inspector (SI) at Nadapuram in the midst of the strike that took place yesterday. Velloli Rashid a native of Perad, Kodacham Veettil Basheer, Peettayil Riyaz, Cheriya Thundiyil Ashkar and Thoduvayil Abdul Hakkim were arrested.
The SI Prasanth reached the place as per the information received about the traffic block being created by the popular front workers in the town. He also tried to arrest the five culprits.
But, the culprits who were instructed to move with the police attacked the police officer. They were arrested using force and later filed a case against the five culprits.
The case was taken on charges for blocking the official procedures which is unbailable.
