Rajasthan: Congress party in Rajasthan has plunged deep into a crisis as Ashok Gehlot moves to step down as Chief Minister. Senior leaders held a meeting at Gehlot’s residence . Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken also participated in the meeting and the discussions stretched to midnight.
As the high command is totally disturbed over the new crisis, party chief Sonia Gandhi has asked the leaders to meet with Gehlot loyalists MLAs and resolve the issues at the earliest. Sonia has called both Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot to Delhi. Sachin Pilot will reach New Delhi today and will meet the party leaders.
Gehlot loyalists have already set for mass resignation as they strongly oppose the movement to appoint Pilot as the next Chief Minister. Gehlot loyalists claim that they have the support of 92 MLAs.
