New Delhi: Popular Front of India (PFI) and eight related organisations are banned in the country for the next five years. Centre points out that the organisation is a threat to the nation. The decision was taken after the terrorist link was found. The NIA had detained and interrogated the major leaders of the popular front in relation to this. Raids were also held against PFI for two times across the nation.
PFI was banned for three major reasons. The first one is that they are organising terrorist activities across the nation. The second is to rise funding for terrorist activities. The evidence of the funding was found by the central agencies including the ED. The third is for recruiting people to terrorist activities and arranging training camps.
