Thiruvananthapuram: Single duty pattern has started in KSRTC. Single duty was implemented at Parassala depot on a trial basis.
Single duty pattern will be implemented in 73 services in the first phase and will be implemented after discussions with various labor organizations. The management has clarified that if there are any irregularities in the pattern, it will be checked. KSRTC also announced that the pattern will be implemented across the state within six months.
Earlier, plans were made to implement single duty systems at eight depots, but the decision was changed after the unions pointed out irregularities in the schedules.
A pro-Congress organization has announced a strike against the single duty reform. But later the decision was withdrawn.
