Srinagar: Terror attack on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. A policeman was martyred in the firing by the terrorists and a CRPF Jawan was injured.
The incident took place in the Pingalana area of Pulwama in the afternoon. CRPF and police were jointly patrolling in the area. Meanwhile, the terrorists arrived in the vehicles and opened fire on the security forces. The policeman, who was seriously injured in the firing by the terrorists, was rushed to the hospital, but his life could not be saved. The injured CRPF Jawan is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police and CRPF have started investigation into the incident. In the wake of the attack, high alert has been issued in the area.
