Gandhinagar: Six people were injured in stone pelting during Navaratri celebrations in Kheda, Gujarat. The incident happened on Monday night. The injured have been admitted to hospital. After the attack, DySP Rajesh Gadhiya and Kheda Local Crime Branch team reached the spot and took six people into custody.
Garba ceremony was organized by the village head on the occasion of Navratri. The ceremony took place near a temple and a church. Many people including women came to participate in the event.
People from other communities arrived by demanding that the ceremony be stopped immediately. This was followed by stone pelting. The DySP said that all the accused have been identified and strict action will be taken against them.
