New Delhi: Mountaineer Santhosh Yadav was the chief guest at the annual celebration program of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. She was the guest at the Vijayadashami celebrations held at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. It is for the first time in history that a woman appeared as the chief guest at an RSS event.
The program was organized at Resham Bagh ground, Nagpur. RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also attended the event.

Santhosh Yadav, a native of Haryana, is the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest twice. She is the first woman to successfully climb Mount Everest from the Kangshung Face. Santosh Yadav conquered Everest in 1992 May and 1993 May.
