Malappuram: The police captured three people from Kottackal with MDMA worth Rs 5 lakhs. The substance was found from from Musthafa Ashique (26) a native of Kanhiramukku, Veliyath Shahjahan (29), from Perumpadapp, Airoor and Veliyath Haroon Ali (29).
50 grams of crystal MDMA has been found from them. The Kottackal police and the district anti narcotics special team together captured the culprits under the leadership of Malappuram DYSP Abdul Basheer and Kottackal Police Inspector M K Shaji. The culprits were under police observation for the last one week.
The investigation team clarified that the culprits taken MDMA from Bangalore, to the state. The agents carry the substances in bus and train usually by hiding it inside the toys and spare parts. The investigation team also said that there is a special team working behind in Bangalore to distribute MDMA.
