Kochi: Ernakulam First Class Judicial Magistrate court has sent the trio, Bhagaval Singh, his wife Laila and Muhammad Shafi into police custody. All the three accused will be under police custody for 12 days. The investigation team approached the court yesterday to get the culprits under custody .
The team requested to send the accused under police custody for 12 days. The investigation team informed the court that for a detailed probe, the accused be taken to several places for finding evidence and also, ample time required to record statements. The court granted the police request and sent the accused under police custody till 24 October.
The prosecution also informed the court that the accused had committed heinous crime and more details have to be collected from them.
