Kochi: Massive gold hunt took place in the Kochi International Airport. Customs seized gold worth rupees 43 lakh that was hidden in the body of the culprit.
The customs officials captured the gold from a passenger who travelled in 3 L 125 flight from Abu Dhabi to Kochi. The culprit smuggled 1,162 grams of gold. Customs informed that the investigation over the incident is being progressed.
Last day, customs seized gold worth Rs 1.5 crore from four other passengers. The passengers smuggled the gold by hiding inside their body and dress.
