New Delhi: The Supreme Court criticised producer Ekta Kapoor for insulting soldiers and their families. Court said that she is polluting the minds of the youngsters. The court said this while considering her request to cancel the arrest warrant.
“You are polluting the minds of the youngsters in the nation. Nowadays, OTT platforms are available for everyone and the web series is also accessible for everyone. What kind of opportunity are you providing for the youth to choose the best? And you are instead polluting their mind”, said the top court.
In the web series titled ‘XXX’ Ekta Kapoor portrayed the army negatively. It also insulted the soldiers and their family members. The retired soldier Shambhu Kumar had approached the court with a complaint that the producer Ekta Kapoor insulted the army and their family members. Following this, it is the court that has given an arrest warrant against her and soon after this, Ekta filed a complaint in the top court.
