Kannur: A girl was hacked to death in Valliyayi near Panur, Kannur. It is reported that the reason for the attack was due to a grudge in a love affair. Kannachamkandi Vinod’s daughter Vishnupriya, 23, was killed in the attack. Shyam Jith, a native of Mananteri, Koothuparamp, was arrested. The police stated that he was a friend of the murdered Vishnupriya. The reason behind Vishnupriya’s brutal murder was revenge for rejecting his love proposal. His arrest will be recorded soon.
Vishnu Priya was an employee of a private lab in Panur. The woman was found murdered in the bedroom of the house. Her neck was slitted. The police said that there were other injuries in the dead body.
