Coimbatore: Another arrest has been recorded today in connection with the car bomb explosion took place near Kottamedu Sangameshwar temple. Police have informed that Afzar Khan, the newly arrested youth is the relative of Jamesha Mubeen. This is the sixth arrest on the car bomb explosion case.

Police had recovered a laptop during the search conducted at Afzar Khan’s residence last day. It is hinted that crucial evidences of the suicide bomber link with terror group have been collected from the lap top. This led to the arrest of Afzar Khan, the relative of the deceased Mubeen.

During the raid held in the houses of Mubeen and his aides, huge quantity of explosives weighing 75 kilograms were also recovered. UAPA was invoked soon after the raid. Cops doubt that the culprits were conspiring to conduct explosions in several parts of the country. The recovered evidences include images and details of temples too.

The investigation team think that a strong terror link and anti-national group is behind the explosion as the discoveries prove their connection with terrorism.

Firoz Ismail, Navas Ismail, Mohammed Dhalha, Mohammed Riyas and Mohammed Azharuddin were arrested last day. Police had got CCTV footages in which the accused were seen carrying a huge object to the car.
