Thiruvananthapuram: The family of Sharon Raj, a youngster who died after having the juice and Ayurveda medicine (kashayam) given by his friend, is about to approach the High Court due to the dissatisfaction of the state police procedures. The family’s demand is that the case should be taken forward by the crime branch as they are not satisfied by the current investigation team.

Sharon’s parents said that their son was poisoned and killed by his girlfriend out of superstition. It has been decided to conduct the further investigation after receiving the scanning reports of the internal organs. In the midst of this, the family approached the court seeking a crime branch investigation.

Last month, Sharon, a Third year degree student, reached his girlfriend’s house at Ramavarmanchira in Tamil Nadu. He was accompanied by his friend Rejin. He made Rejin wait outside the house and after some time Sharon came out vomiting, says Rejin.

Sharon got paralysed after drinking the juice and the Ayurveda medicine and succumbed to death while undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

His relatives alleged that Sharon’s girlfriend killed him to marry another person in February.

From the girl’s WhatsApp messages sent to Sharon and his friend, after the incident, it is clear that she gave him Ayurveda medicine and juice. In his post-mortem report it is given that he died due to liver and kidney failure. The police are trying to find it by conducting chemical tests on the internal organs.
