Thiruvananthapuram: Action will be taken against the police officers who were in duty at the time of the suicide attempt of the accused in Sharon murder, Greeshma. Rural SP D Shilpa informed this to the media. She also clarified that what happened was a major fault from the side of police officials.
There were police officials for the security of Greeshma. A washroom was made ready for the accused earlier. But instead of this another bathroom was used in the morning. This is a major negligence from the police. Report will be received soon after a thorough investigation. Her health is now in a better condition. Greeshma will be arrested today, said SP.
She drank Lizol, a disinfectant, which was kept inside the washroom of the police station. Greeshma got admitted in the hospital when she faced physical discomfort after coming out of the wash room. Later she was admitted to Nedumangad Taluk Hospital and then moved to Trivandrum Medical College hospital. Currently she is under observation at the medical college hospital.
