Ahmedabad: Lawyers for the accused in Gujarat Morbi suspension bridge accident will not appear in court. Lawyers from Morbi Bar Association and Rajkot Bar Association informed that they will not attend. Advocate A C Prajapati, representing the lawyers, stated this. He also informed that full support will be given to the relatives of those who died in the accident.
The lawyers’ stand that they will not appear for Orewa company which is the builder of the bridge. It is reported that the lawyers have passed a resolution in this regard.
Jeethu Jadeja, head of Morbi Bar Association, said that a rally will be held at the place where the bridge collapsed and tributes will be paid to those who died in the Morbi accident.
Meanwhile, nine people have been arrested in the case including the manager of Orewa. The managers and sub-contractors of Orewa are in police custody and others are in judicial custody.
