Thiruvananthapuram: Villagers panic after spotting a giant crocodile in the ghat. People living in the Chenkal panchayat were horrified when they saw a crocodile at Kanjirammoottu ghat.
The authorities have restricted people of four wards from taking bath in the Neyyar ghats as well as taking cattle into the river for one week.
The crocodile was spotted last week too near Neyyar dam. The villagers are scared as they saw the crocodile at Kanjirammoottu ghat, several kilometres away from the dam.
Villagers of Vlathankara, Nechiyur, Vlathankara Eastand Keezhmakam wards are asked not to take bath in the ghats. A temporary fence has been made to block people from stepping into the ghats.
