New Delhi: The accused in the murder of OBC Morcha State Secretary Ranjith Srinivasan demanded that the trial need to be shifted from Alappuzha district. They requested to shift the case as the lawyers in the Alappuzha court are not willing to appear for them.
Ranjith Srinivasan was an advocate of Alappuzha BAR Association. As a protest over the murder, the advocates in the Alappuzha court said that they will not appear for the accused. The culprits had approached the High Court with a demand to change the court and the High Court had shifted the case to Mavelikkara additional sessions court.
But the accused has approached the Supreme Court to transfer it to another district as the Mavelikkara court is a part of Alappuzha district.
