Ernakulam: The court stayed the further proceedings of Sunny Leone in fraud case. The court’s action is on the petition filed by Sunny Leone.
Sunny Leone approached the High Court seeking cancellation of the FIR registered against her in the fraud case. The petition was filed yesterday. Sunny Leone told the court that she has not cheated and can participate in the program anytime. Considering this, the court stayed further proceedings. The detailed argument on the petition will be heard later.
The High Court will send a notice to the government and the crime branch to take further action on the petition. After receiving the reply, the petition will be heard in detail. The petition was heard by Justice Ziyad Rahman.
A case was registered against Sunny Leone in August 2019. The case is that Sunny Leone did not follow the contract in the payment related to the stage performance. The petition filed by a native of Perumbavoor also states that Sunny Leone cheated Rs 30 lakh.
