New Delhi: The Income Tax department has conducted massive raids at various centres, jewelleries and real estate offices and detected unaccounted cash and jewellery. The raids were held at the centres of Patna, Bhagalpur, Deri, Lucknow and Delhi. The I-T department informed that huge irregularities in the accounts and transactions has been detected in the raid.
Unaccountable cash worth Rs. 5 crore was also found. The authorities have frozen 14 banks. Documents revealing illegal cash transactions were also seized.
The I-T department has informed that stringent action will be taken. If required, the details of the firms will be handed over to other agencies for further procedure.
More raids will be conducted in the coming days too, informed the I-T authority.
