Srinagar: Combined forces foiled terrorist infiltration attempt in Jammu and Kashmir. A joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Political Rifles foiled an infiltration attempt and a smuggling attempt from the LoC side in Uri sector.
Arms and ammunition including 2 AK 47, rifles, 02 AK magazine, 117 rounds, 2 pistols and 2 pistol magazines which the terrorists tried to smuggle were recovered. To divert the attention of the forces, the terrorists set fire in many places in the area and tried to infiltrate. But following secret information, the army stopped this move.
Security forces had earlier received information that around 200 trained terrorists were waiting to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir and they would try their best to infiltrate into India before winter.
